How Does It Work?
All you have to do is sit back, relax and let our Therapists do the work. A whitening gel (Power Gel™) is applied to the teeth which is then activated by the light source. In just under 45 minutes you will be leaving with a new smile which can only enhance your confidence and sex appeal!

The entire procedure is very simple! No drills, no injections and no damage to the enamel of your Teeth.
Results can last from 18 — 24 months depending on diet, lifestyle and oral hygiene.

Is It Safe?
Yes, the treatment has no adverse effects on existing restorations (fillings), and does not soften the enamel tooth; the main ingredient in the gel is Hydrogen Peroxide, which is used in most teeth whitening products. We use a special Gum Dam which protects the gums from the whitening solution, which is much safer for the client.

It has been safely used for over 100 years and is recognised as an effective ingredient by the dental community.

What Results Can I Expect?
Depending on the individuals, it is normally recommended that all patients undergo a full course of treatments (4 treatments) to obtain the maximum whitening effect. This can be carried out either in one session or across two, opting for a half course session during each visit.

Clinical studies have shown that this whitening treatment generally achieves a 7 — 10 shade improvement however this will depend on your initial tooth colouring and your oral hygiene circumstances. i.e. if you already have fairly good teeth and look after them, then your teeth may only be capable of going a couple of shades lighter to achieve their natural whiteness.
 
We advise all our patients that to maintain their maximum whiteness we suggest booking a maintenance treatment about once every 9 — 12 months.

Does the Treatment work on Caps, Veneers or Tooth Coloured bonded materials?
The whitening products and services will not whiten crowns, veneers, bridges, fillings. However, they will clean them to their original colour. Nevertheless, it must be noted, that users own teeth may become whiter than the colour of their veneers, crowns, bridges, fillings and these may need replacing.

We recommend you discuss your situation with one of our Teeth Whitening Specialists before making an appointment.

Will Teeth Whitening hurt the soft tissue?
People with periodontal disease, (gum disease), or excessive carries (cavities), should be treated for these conditions prior to using any form of Teeth whitening product or services.

The active ingredient in the gel itself is safe, but if prolonged sensitivity to the soft tissue (gums) does occur for more than 48 hours it is advised that the client should consult with their dentist.

Are there any side effects?
It can be typical for a small percentage of users to experience increased sensitivity to hot and cold, or minor gum irritations. These symptoms usually subside within 24- 48 hours after the whitening process.

Is this treatment for everyone?
Almost anyone who is over the age of 18 years who have their own natural teeth, can undergo this treatment however we do not recommend this treatment to pregnant or nursing mother’s, or clients that suffer from the following: Neck or Spinal problems, Epilepsy Blackout, Dizziness, Panic Attacks, Blood disorders, Transplant patients or Electronic implants such as heart pace makers.
